{"id":66,"date":"2019-03-28T19:40:00","date_gmt":"2019-03-28T14:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.andrewsmemorial.org\/childcare\/?page_id=66"},"modified":"2019-04-08T18:27:17","modified_gmt":"2019-04-08T13:27:17","slug":"curriculum","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/andrewsmemorial.org\/childcare\/curriculum\/","title":{"rendered":"Curriculum"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>AMRS incorporates an academic program with our playschool.&nbsp;&nbsp;From the two-year-old group through the K4 group we have a period of academic instruction.&nbsp;&nbsp;We use the <a href=\"http:\/\/abeka.com\">A Beka Book<\/a> Curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In our&nbsp;<strong>two-year-old<\/strong> playschool, the curriculum introduces the letters of the alphabet and number concepts from one through ten.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our&nbsp;<strong>three-year-old<\/strong> playschool introduces number concepts one through fifteen as well as the sounds of the vowels and consonants.&nbsp;&nbsp;Children will enjoy learning as they trace the shapes of the letters and numbers with their fingers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Part of the instruction in our&nbsp;<strong>K4<\/strong> introduces number concepts and the writing of numbers from one to twenty.&nbsp;The children will enjoy counting the number sheets and coloring the pictures.&nbsp;&nbsp;The children will be taught phonics.&nbsp;&nbsp;They will concentrate on the following areas:&nbsp;&nbsp;short and long vowel sounds, simple consonant sounds, blending of consonants and vowels, and words containing one and two vowels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AMRS incorporates an academic program with our playschool.&nbsp;&nbsp;From the two-year-old group through the K4 group we have a period of academic instruction.&nbsp;&nbsp;We use the A Beka Book Curriculum.
