These plans follow CDC recommendations for public safety for places of worship that may be found at:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/community\/organizations\/guidance-community-faith-organizations.html\">https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/community\/organizations\/guidance-community-faith-organizations.html<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Severe risk groups include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>elder citizens<\/li><li>Individuals with respiratory issues<\/li><li>Individuals with high blood pressure&nbsp;<\/li><li>Individuals with obesity<\/li><li>Individuals with compromised immune systems<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Symptoms Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Dry cough<\/li><li>Fever<\/li><li>Difficulty breathing<\/li><li>Sore throat<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>While no vaccine against this virus has been developed, there are a number of behaviors we can practice helping minimize our exposure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Social distancing:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Avoid physical contact with other people<\/li><li>Allow a minimum of 6 feet between yourself and other people<\/li><li>Avoid gatherings as much as possible<\/li><li>Limit travel as much as possible<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sanitation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Wash hands with soap and water frequently and after contact with other people<\/li><li>Use hand sanitizer when soap and water not available<\/li><li>Sanitize door knobs and other surfaces contacted by hands<\/li><li>Avoid touching mouth, nose, and eyes<\/li><li>Cover mouth when coughing<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OUR RESPONSE FOR AMRS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This public health crisis most likely will impact our community far longer than the two week closures (through March 30) announced in other parts of our country.&nbsp;&nbsp;We are in the early days of this pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We will continue to offer childcare as long as conditions allow.<\/strong> We urge all staff and student families&nbsp;who display COVID-19 symptoms or test positive for the virus to seek immediate medical attention, self-quarantine away from AMRS until released by physician\u2019s recommendation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also will follow community health guidelines\/recommendations provided by our county, state, and national health agencies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19 Two weeks ago, we shared our strategy for the impact of COVID-19 (novel Coronavirus) on our church worship services.
